Changes to the regulations that mandate Probate Office fees have been made commencing on 18 November 2024.
The Supreme Court (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2024 can be viewed on the Victorian legislation website.
The changes include:
- new estate value brackets and corresponding fees
- changes to the advertising and small estate fees
- a new fee for re-advertising an application, and
- a new fee for filing an amended originating motion.

Payment gateway
In a recent survey, the Court received feedback regarding the existing payment gateway on RedCrest-Probate.
In response improvements to the payment gateway are being made to coincide with the changes to fees.
RedCrest-Probate Outage
To implement these changes, there is a planned outage of RedCrest-Probate from 5pm on Friday 15 November 2024 to 8.30am on Monday 18 November 2024.
