A list of build works has been planned to improve the facilities within the court buildings.
During this time, there will be some changes to access paths for those attending the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Law Library Victoria.
Laneway stormwater renewal and path replacement
The laneway stormwater renewal project will replace the footpath in the Supreme Court laneway and provide an accessible and compliant path behind the Court of Appeal building. During the construction work alternate access paths will be provided. We ask pedestrians to take care and follow signposted detour paths.
- Scheduled start: early October 2023.
- Projected end: March 2024.
Lift replacement
A number of lifts in the Supreme Court, including the Law Library and Court of Appeal buildings, will be replaced. Affected lifts are:
- Court of Appeal public lifts
- Law Library lifts
- Court 6, Court 9, and Court 13 lifts.
During this time, some areas may only be accessible via stairs. Please follow signposted alternatives.
