Ms Kim Woronczak and Mr Andrew Baker have been appointed as Judicial Registrars of the Supreme Court.
On 25 May 2021, the Governor in Council appointed Ms Kim Woronczak and Mr Andrew Baker as Judicial Registrars of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Judicial Registrar Woronczak will be working within the Funds in Court and civil jurisdictions of the Court, filling the vacancy occasioned by the appointment of Judicial Registrar Matthews as an Associate Judge. Judicial Registrar Woronczak previously held the position of Prothonotary and Deputy Director, Registry Services following specialised experience in banking and finance, credit management, and insolvency from her time as Partner in the Dispute Resolution group of Piper Alderman Lawyers.
Judicial Registrar Baker joins the Court’s Common Law Division, in the position vacated by Judicial Registrar Clayton, bringing significant experience in injury-based and mass-tort disputes, and in leading teams working on complex litigation and dispute-resolution projects, most recently as Practice Group Leader in Slater and Gordon’s Class Actions department.
The Court warmly congratulates the new judicial registrars on their appointments effective today.
