Chief Justice Marilyn Warren and Chief Judge Peter Kidd wrote in The Age today about the challenges faced by child complainants of sexual offences, which are well recognised by the law and the courts in this state. They discussed the extensive reforms to law and procedure to reduce the trauma of the criminal trial process for child complainants already in place, including the requirement that children only give evidence once.
