Deirdre McCann and Elizabeth Tueno have been appointed judicial registrars of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Judicial Registrar Deirdre McCann has joined the Court of Appeal to manage matters arising from the Royal Commission into the Management of Police Informants. Her appointment follows over twenty-five years of experience at Victoria Legal Aid as a program manager, managing lawyer and public defender, among other roles.

Judicial Registrar Elizabeth Tueno has joined the Criminal Division to manage the fast-tracking of homicide matters, bringing significant experience in criminal law, personal injury and torts, and employment law as a barrister at the Victorian Bar. Judicial Registrar Tueno also holds a four-year statutory appointment as a sessional member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

The Court warmly welcomes and congratulates Judicial Registrars McCann and Tueno on their appointments, which take effect today.
