The Court’s operating hours during the holiday period.
The Court will be closed on the following public holidays:
- Monday 25 December 2023 (Christmas Day)
- Tuesday 26 December 2023 (Boxing Day)
- Monday 1 January 2024 (New Year’s Day)
With the exception of public holidays, all registries will remain open. Services supporting urgent matters and applications will continue as usual. Find out more about urgent applications.
Access to Supreme Court buildings
The building entrance at 485 Lonsdale Street (Trial Division) will be closed from 27 December 2023 to 12 January 2024 (inclusive). Normal operations resume on Monday 15 January 2024. All other building entrances will be open between 9am – 5pm.
The Supreme Court Library will be closed from 5pm Friday 15 December 2023 to 9am Monday 8 January 2024. Access to Law Library of Victoria’s digital services will continue throughout the holiday season, with librarians available to assist on all business days via phone and email.
