From 11 November 2024, RedCrest-Probate will replace the Probate Online Advertising System (POAS) for advertising a notice of intention to apply and searching published advertisements.

In addition to filing applications for probate or administration, caveats and depositing wills, the following will also now be done on RedCrest-Probate:

  • Advertising a notice of intention to apply
  • Re-advertising a notice (if required)
  • Searching advertisements published in the last three years

The changes made take into account feedback received from the profession and members of the public in a survey run by the Court in June 2024.  Advertising in RedCrest-Probate will streamline the application process, removing the need for the same information to be entered in two different systems and allowing users to save drafts of advertisements and make changes prior to publishing.
