In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and having regard to the volume of matters currently before the Magistrates’ Court, the Supreme Court has agreed to assist by allowing murder and manslaughter prosecutions to be ‘fast-tracked’ to it where the parties agree to that course.
